The Twi-Life Effect Lingers Long After The Twilight Saga
(PRWEB) November 30, 2009 -- After months of pent up demand for the release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, fans will get a chance to meet the stars behind the Twilight characters. Twilight has spawned communities of fans that continue the fantasy through Twilight inspired "fan-fiction", film parodies, music and more. Out of this fandom has risen a convention business to bring fans together in a weekend-long retreat in cities around the world where they get to meet and mingle with Twilight stars.
The Fantasy Twi-Life Tour (http://www.twilightfantasytour.com) has emerged as the latest addition to the Twilight convention scene. The tour kicks off in the promoter's hometown of Fort Lauderdale, FL on December 4th and runs through the 6th. Celebrities from Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon will spend the weekend hanging out with fans at the convention.
"Access and time with the stars is only part of what the fans want," says Mike Broder, tour promoter. "The convention is a party for the fans. We celebrate all things relating to the Twilight exerience. The line will wrap around the room for autographs and photo ops with the stars, but we'll also run trivia events and conduct panel discussions relating to the books and movies to entertain the fans while they wait."
The evenings heat up at the Fantasy Twi-Life Tour with a cocktail party, dinner banquet and prom. These events are all attended by the Twilight stars. At the Fort Lauderdale stop, fans will get to meet some of the stars of both Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Daniel Cudmore: This heartthrob plays Felix in New Moon. He has an unforgettable fight scene with Robert Pattinson in the movie. Cudmore's credits don't start with New Moon. He also played Colossus in X-Men: The Last Stand.
Chaske Spencer: A natural leader on and off-screen, Spencer spends his down time involved in a variety of charitable causes. United Global Shift is an organization that he supports to raise awareness for water conservation.
Gil Birmingham: An award winning actor, Gil Birmingham has appeared in more than 40 films and television productions. Beyond acting, Birmingham has been playing guitar since he was 10 years old. Occasionally, on the Twi-Life tours, he will break out his guitar and play for the fans. His background as a bodybuilder adds significantly to his sex appeal.
Justin Chon: Charming and hysterically funny are the best ways to describe Chon. Seeing his Q&A is truly an experience. At the last show he attended in Orlando, he pulled an audience member on stage and pretended to be his fan. He pulled another attendee onstage for a beat-box competition. After hours, he was found making very funny short films with fans.
Tyson Houseman: New to film and the Twilight Convention circuit, Houseman, who plays Quil Ateara, is down to earth and a romantic at heart, will surely woo the fans.
Tinsel Korey: Another newcomer to Twilight as the actress who plays Emily, Korey is likely to make a huge splash on the Twilight sceen.
